Today we were visited by Ms. Emmy Chow from the Hong Kong law firm of Deacons. She told us about their firm’s upcoming 175th Anniversary celebrations and provided us with some useful insight on several of the peculiarities of the HK legal system and jurisdictions, including the limits of protection offered by series mark filings, Hong Kong’s bid to join the Madrid Protocol, and their unique system of amending applications.
